Experience Simplicity, Sustainability & Soulful Stays in Uttarakhand’s Heart

A New Dawn in Devbhoomi: Ecko Hotels & Resorts Rises

In the hallowed lands of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, where ancient traditions echo through modern terrains, a groundbreaking hospitality brand is redefining the meaning of luxury travel. Ecko Hotels & Resorts isn’t just another name in the industry—it’s a celebration of India’s legacy, where heritage blends seamlessly with innovation.

The Visionaries Behind the Brand

This bold venture was envisioned by Founder & CEO Perkin Rocha, a dynamic leader with decades of experience. Supporting him is Shri Rohit Kumar Singh, Chairman and principal investor, hailing from the esteemed Hariharpur Estate in Bihar’s Darbhanga District. Their partnership is more than just strategic—it’s transformational, bringing together business foresight and regal lineage to reshape India’s hospitality narrative.

Royal Roots and Entrepreneurial Strength

Shri Rohit Kumar Singh, a respected Raja and alumnus of Colvin Taluqdar’s College, Lucknow, brings with him deep-rooted wisdom and business acumen. Alongside his son, Kunwar Aditya Vikram Singh, he has built a strong presence in the engineering and construction industries. This experience creates a solid foundation for Ecko’s growth.

At the same time, Rocha’s name is synonymous with excellence in Indian hospitality. Having helped launch Lemon Tree Hotels and Royal Orchid Hotels, he now brings that same operational brilliance to Ecko. Together, their alliance marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

An Ambitious Vision Unfolds

Ecko Hotels & Resorts aims to open 100 unique properties across India’s spiritual belt. The first phase is already in motion, with three stunning properties now open:

  • Ecko Antarman Ganga, Haridwar – a serene riverside haven

  • Ecko Rishikesh – a hub for wellness and adventure

  • Ecko Tapovan by The Ganga – a tranquil retreat with panoramic views

The brand was officially launched at a press conference at Radisson Blu Hotel, Connaught Place, Delhi. The unveiling generated excitement and anticipation throughout the industry.

The Meaning Behind ‘Ecko’

Rocha explained that “Ecko” is inspired by the Greek word “echo”, representing the brand’s goal to create lasting joy and satisfaction. Each hotel is designed to be soulful, distinctive, and guest-centric.

Ecko doesn’t just cater to travelers—it celebrates their individuality. Every stay is an invitation to embrace personal stories, quirks, and passions, both for guests and staff alike. This philosophy turns every visit into a deeply personal experience.

Connecting Guests to Local Culture

More than just offering rooms, Ecko curates immersive experiences. Guests are encouraged to explore the vibrant local life—from meeting artisans and musicians to discovering hidden gems that many tourists miss.

The brand ensures that every location feels authentic, forging a bond between traveler and destination.

Building a Sense of Community

At its core, Ecko believes in the power of community. Hotels feature thoughtfully designed common spaces, collaborative events, and countless opportunities for genuine interaction.

Additionally, sustainability is a cornerstone of the brand. Ecko actively reduces its environmental impact and supports local communities through ethical and responsible practices.

A Partnership Rooted in Trust and Purpose

Rocha credits much of Ecko’s momentum to his enduring partnership with Shri Rohit Kumar Singh. Their connection spans over a decade. With deep trust and complementary expertise, they form the heart of this brand’s leadership.

“When I met him, he encouraged me and said, ‘We are with you,’” Rocha recalled. That moment laid the foundation for Ecko’s journey—a story built on loyalty and shared vision.

Strategic Launch in Uttarakhand

Rocha noted that Uttarakhand’s hospitality sector lacks major branded hotels, creating a rare market opportunity.

“You must have seen that all standalone hotels operate there,” he said.

To maintain control and ensure quality, Ecko has chosen fixed-term, long-term leases over traditional management contracts. This strategic choice enables the team to uphold the brand’s high standards without compromise.

Overcoming Challenges with Resilience

The road to building Ecko was filled with obstacles—location scouting, regulatory approvals, team building, and more. Yet, Rocha and Shri Rohit Kumar’s shared determination helped them navigate every challenge.

Their unified goal to create a truly distinctive brand became the driving force behind their perseverance.

Delivering Simplicity and Soul

Ecko’s core focus remains clear:
top-class services, exquisite culinary offerings, and heartfelt hospitality. Rocha emphasized the brand’s commitment to simplicity and professionalism—values reflected in their tagline:

“Living in the Moment.”

Guests are encouraged to fully embrace every moment, whether in Haridwar’s spiritual embrace or Rishikesh’s adventurous spirit.

New Destinations on the Horizon

Ecko Hotels & Resorts is excited to announce its upcoming properties:

  • Ecko Badrinath

  • Ecko Pandukeshvar

  • Ecko Jim Corbett

These additions underscore the brand’s commitment to offering diverse, profound experiences. From the sacred aura of Badrinath to the natural beauty of Jim Corbett, Ecko promises unforgettable stays.

Why Choose Ecko? Rocha Shares the Vision

When asked what sets Ecko apart, Rocha offered a compelling answer:
Guests will find an environment of effortless simplicity. Every detail—from the interiors to the staff interactions—is designed to feel natural and inviting.

He highlighted:

  • Rigorous staff training

  • Courteous, heartfelt service

  • Direct involvement of GMs and chefs with guest preferences

This hands-on approach ensures every stay feels personal, warm, and memorable.

A Journey Beyond Hotels

“We want to take this uncomplicated brand further,” Rocha affirmed. Ecko isn’t just about hospitality—it’s about enriching lives, both for the guests and the communities they visit.

“Our tagline is ‘Live in the Moment,’ so we want our guests to truly live every moment there.”

The Future of Indian Hospitality

With a powerful foundation built on royal heritage, business expertise, and a heart for people, Ecko Hotels & Resorts is on its way to becoming a defining name in Indian hospitality. As it expands to new destinations, Ecko invites travelers to experience authentic connections, spiritual renewal, and soulful comfort.
